Important Sanctuary Rules
Balicasag is a highly protected marine sanctuary. Touching, chasing, or feeding sea turtles is strictly forbidden. You must not step on or collect corals. All snorkelers must use a mandatory local guide with a small paddleboat to access the reefs.
Protecting the ecosystem requires proper preparation. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, as chemical sunscreens damage the coral. Use a dry bag to protect your phone and camera during the 30 to 45-minute boat ride.
